Topaz
Topaz is one of the gemstones, known to people much longer than most of the other minerals. A legend says that it was discovered by a wrecked pirate ship near the shores of the Cytis Island in the Red Sea. The name of topaz refers to the Arabic word topazas, which means, “they sought, and they found”. The most common designs include clear, yellow, yellow-red or bright blue, greenish or pink colours. Each of the variants is accompanied with a vitreous lustre. Topaz deposits are in Brazil, Madagascar, Kenya or Namibia, which is where our raw material is from. If we look at its chemical structure, topaz is an aluminium silicate with fluorine.
