Agate Green Bead
Agates feature a wide range of beautiful colours, and green agate is no exception. The stone boasts banded lines and shades of green, which are influenced by chromium oxides absorption in the stone’s structure followed by a fire treatment. However, the producers often use cold-dye instead, creating agate with blue-green shades, known as Teal. The raw material is from Brazil. If we look at its chemical structure, green agate is a variety of chalcedony – a general name for fibrous, cryptocrystalline quartz.
