Agate Pink Slice Metal Plated Pendant
Agate is a charming variety of chalcedony (general name for cryptocrystalline form of quartz). This stone is captivating for its dark banded lines. The pink patterns are caused by a pink dye, which absorbed into individual agate layers. Interestingly, in the middle ages, people dyed agates with sugar or honey solutions. Agates were used in gems engraving and intaglios – carved reliefs. The stone comes from Brazil.
Special conditions/ treatment: Do not expose dyed agate to direct sun and do not soak it in solutions. It may cause its colour to fade.
About the product: Pendants have been manufactured from polished agate slices in size 0. Slices have metal plated edges and locket bail is made of silver plated brass. Pendants are packed in plastic bags with 5 pieces each.
