Carnelian
Carnelian shades in yellow, reddish or red-brown tones, which are influenced by hematite admixtures in the stone’s structure. This mineral has been known for ages – people considered it a precious stone already in ancient times. If we look at its chemical structure, carnelian is a variety of chalcedony, which is a generic name for fibrous, cryptocrystalline quartz.
