Citrine
Citrine is a mineral whose name refers to a lemon, as its colour resembles this yellow fruit (its Latin name is citrina). As the natural citrine is quite rare, it is often made by firing from amethyst. The highest quality raw material is from mines in the city of Maraba in Goiás, Brazil. If we look at its chemical structure, citrine is a yellow variety of quartz.
