Garnet Vesuvianite Matrix

Vesuvianites and grossulars are characteristic minerals in contact rocks - skarns and erlans. They mostly occur in form of short columnar crystals. Matrix of the stone is made by quartz. The combination of grey-white quartz and dark vesuvianite makes an interesting contrasting pattern. The stone comes from Namibia.
