Jasper Brecciated
Thanks to a wide range of admixtures, jaspers shade in an array of colours. It is, in fact, another variety of chalcedony (a generic name for fibrous cryptocrystalline quartz). This piece is from South Africa, a rich source of jaspers of all possible colours and varieties.
Jasper uniqueness: Brecciated jasper with a red tint is quite popular. The stone has small fragments of colourful jaspers in its structure. These fragments have been merged by quartz or opal matter, creating various geometrical shapes. The stone has beautiful red-yellow patterns often with white contour.
About the product: Stone has been smoothed out into a round flat shape. We sell smooth stones in 1 kg package; however some of them are available also in 0,5 and 0,25 kg variant.
