Kyanite

In Greek, kýanos means blue, which is the signature colour of this mineral. However, there are other shades of kyanite too – from white, green or yellow, to pink. It is a quite common mineral used in jewellery or refractory and acid-resistant materials.

If we look at its chemical structure, kyanite is aluminium silicate.
