Malachite
Malachite is an opaque mineral shading in tones of green, which may include both lighter and black-green tints. The striking colours are complemented by gentle banded lines. The mineral has a rich history –people in ancient Egypt carved cameos, amulets and other decorative objects from the mineral. Grounded malachite also served as a dye for painters or as a make-up. The raw material is from Congo. If we look at its chemical structure, malachite it is copper bicarbonate.
