Obsidian Gold Sphere
Obsidian, or volcanic glass, is a material with a unique formation, during which hot lava cools rapidly (e.g. in water) and the process is so fast that the individual minerals do not have enough time to crystalize. Obsidian comes from Mexico.
Golden Obsidian uniqueness: Golden obsidian is distinctive for its captivating black colour and velvet, goldish lustre, which is a work of straight hollow fibres inside the glassy mass of the stone.
Special conditions/ treatment: Obsidian is stable against most acids. However, be careful when handling with the stone, as it is fragile.
About the product: Obsidian is cut and polished into a shape of a sphere. The diameter of spheres ranges approximately between 4 and 7 cm and their weight between approx. 0,1 - 0,4 kg.
