Obsidian Silver Heart
Obsidian, or volcanic glass, is a material with a unique formation, during which hot lava cools rapidly (e.g. in water) and the process is so fast that the individual minerals do not have enough time to crystalize. Obsidian comes from Mexico.
Silver Obsidian uniqueness: Silver obsidian stands out with its grey-black colour and a striking, silver lustre influenced by tiny air bubbles and admixtures in the stone.
Special conditions/ treatment: Obsidian is stable against most acids. However, be careful when handling with the stone, as it is fragile.
About the product: Obsidian is cut and polished into a shape of heart. The product is sold by weight; the price is per 1 kg. The weight of individual pieces ranges aprox. between 50 - 220 g and their size aprox. from 4 to 7 cm.
