Amethyst
Amethyst is a purple gemstone – a variety of quartz. The striking colour of this stone is a result of ionisation pointed at a small admixture of iron compounds in the stone’s structure. Amethyst forms inside basalt cavities, where it creates large crystals. The richest deposits of this mineral are in Brazil - - our rough amethyst comes from there as well.
Use: Our rough stones are a beautiful interior adornment – filling up a vase, fountain or a lamp with them creates an original design. In the exterior, they may be a perfect decoration of gardens. They are also suitable for mineralogist collections and exhibitions. Rough minerals may also be further processed, e.g. small crystals are ideal material for pendants.
