Bahia Agate is quite a unique kind of agate, a variety of chalcedony. The microscopic quartz crystals of this compact stone form banded lines. It comes from river deposits in Bahia, Brazil.
Agate uniqueness: Bahia Agate is a real Brazilian gem. You can recognise it for its tiny layers of quartz, opal, and chalcedony – carnelian. These layers, shading from yellow-orange to red tones, create the pastel colour of the stone.
