Calcite Yellow

Calcite or calcium carbonate is a very fissile, delicate stone. It belongs amongst the most common minerals on earth. Its characteristic yellow shades are influenced by a small amount of iron admixture.

Yellow Transparent Calcite uniqueness: Yellow transparent calcite is a rock star amongst all calcite colour variants. It is captivating for its double refraction, which occurs thanks to the single crystals. These pieces are manually faceted and polished, which is why we only offer a limited quantity.

Special conditions/ treatment: Calcite is a carbonate. Please do not use salt solutions or other chemicals to clean it – the stone may lose its lustre.
