Chalcopyrite Box

Chalcopyrite is a a major ore of copper. It is common in sulfide veins and disseminated in igneous rocks. It contains copper, iron and sulphur. It is a colourful mineral with shades from brass yellow to blue and purple with a metallic lustre. Its various colours are caused by a constant oxidation of the mineral and also by presence of other minerals like pyrite and covellin. Our rough material comes from Mexico.

We carefully arrange our minerals into three-layered paperboard boxes; these are firm and resistant, which makes them easy to store. We wrap it into stretch cling, which prevents it from damage. Folded boxes provide a complex presentation of minerals.
