Amethyst lavender
Amethyst is one of the most precious and widely known minerals thanks to its deep purple colour. If we look at its chemical structure, amethyst is a variety of quartz. It is widely deposited all over the world, but the Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil is still one of the most important sites. This piece, however, comes from Malawi.
Uniqueness of the stone: Amethyst lavender has a lighter shade of purple resembling lavender colour, it is mostly opaque with noticable structures in the stone. It comes from Malawi.
Special conditions/ treatment: Amethyst is a very firm and compact stone, so there is no need for special handling.
