Jaspers are a remarkable variety of chalcedony. They are formed by chalcedony, opal and fine-grained quartz with colourful pigments. Jaspers often contain quite a big portion of admixtures (up to 20%). It is the admixtures, which make jaspers a very diverse group of minerals.
Colourful Jasper uniqueness: Colourful jasper is noticed for its pink-green patterns with small ochre “eyes”. It is a popular decorative stone.
Special conditions/ treatment: There is no need for special handling with colourful jasper.
