Shattuckite AA
Shattuckite is a copper silicate, which got its unusual name after Shattuck Mine in Arizona, where it was discovered in 1915. The stone’s deposits are in the USA, Argentina, Namibia or Congo. However, this piece is from Namibia.
Shattuckite uniqueness: This shattuckite boasts a deep blue colour - stones does not contain mineral chrysocolla, therefore you will not find green shades on them.
Special conditions/ treatment: As shattuckite often occurs with other minerals (in paragenesis), we do not recommend cleaning it with chemical detergents.
