Topaz Silver with Inclusions
Topaz has been known to people much earlier than most of the other minerals. A legend says that it was discovered by pirates whose ship wrecked near the shores of the Cytis Island in the red Sea. The name of the stone refers to the Arabic word topazas, which means, “they sought, and they found”. If we look at its chemical structure, it is a silicate mineral with aluminium and fluorine. It is usually found in tin granites and granite pegmatite, only sometimes it occurs in river deposits. This piece is from Namibia.
Silver Topaz uniqueness: Namibian topaz slightly differs from other varieties by its high lustre and a silver shade. This variety contains inclusions of other minerals in its structure, which give some stones slightly warmer shades.
Special conditions/ treatment: Topaz is stable against most acids. However, it is quite fissile and prone to impact damage.
About the product: The product is packed in firm plastic bags.
